By far and away, Boonton Coffee is the premier third-wave espresso joint this far west in New Jersey. Once you go further west, it's just Starbucks and Dunkin'. The larger location they moved into in 2022, with its aesthetic and expanded seating options, really marked their arrival. Perhaps understandably so, it tends to be really busy inside. On my most recent visit, on a sunny Saturday at lunchtime, they had separate lines for ordering and paying, not dissimilar to lunchtime at the Chick-fil-A drive through. I tend to wait several minutes for my drink, owing to the single La Marzocco machine. I also find the espresso to be inconsistent. It ranges from acceptable to great. It's never bitter...
Best coffee in New Jersey! Visiting my husband's hometown for the holidays while staying at his parents and we came here almost everyday. I had the iced cookie butter latte and the iced peppermint bark latte both were delicious, smooth and caffeinated. My favorite one was the peppermint bark. I love me a good peppermint drink during the holidays and what a better one than at a local coffee spot. I also bought some of their Mexican coffee beans and Colombian that they sell in store and online now. What a charming spot to enjoy high-quality coffee! The knowledgeable baristas here are eager to share insights about their roasting process (they have the equipment!), the various single-origin beans they source, and recommend other local coffee roasters worth checking out. The space is expansive with a cozy atmosphere, filled with repurposed vintage furniture—one couch even reminded us of Friends! I was in the area on a Sunday afternoon and searched for cafe and this one came up being 3 minutes away. Well.......lucky me!! Just walking up the venue, I can already see it was a cool vibe. There was some same tables and seats on the outside. People were out there with their dogs enjoying the beautiful fall day. I went in and was absolutely surprised to see how big the inside was. It’s filled with vibrant colors, has a rustic yet hip vibe, and the atmosphere is bustling and lively. There's a strong sense of community, plenty of space, and it has a cozy, welcoming feel that just oozes charm and character. I am absolutely in love! This is truly the café of my dreams!
I ordered their Healthy Harvest Muffin, which has coconut, carrots, and raisins. They even offered to warm it up for me. It was deliciously sweet, although a bit sweeter than I prefer—but I’m sure many will enjoy it. I also tried their hot almond chai, which had a lovely light spice and sweetness—totally my thing!

I don’t often stop by coffee shops on a whim, but with an hour to spare, I decided to give Boonton Coffee a shot. If you haven't been, it's a charming and spacious coffee shop with a dedicated customer base. There were a few people ahead of me in line, but it moved quickly. The young woman who took my order was incredibly friendly, and my double-shot cappuccino was ready in about two minutes. I found a cozy spot where I could savor my delicious cappuccino while enjoying a relaxed view of Main Street and doing a bit of people-watching. I know this place can get busy at times, but I thoroughly enjoyed my cup of coffee.
Absolutely love this place. Friendly staff, spacious interior, and great small bites served make it my favorite coffee shop by far. They host events during the week shoutout to literary and music open mics on Thursdays! Boonton Coffee has unparalleled attention to detail. They have many little nooks to choose from for whatever mood you are in. Games and books to borrow while there. And always clean and cute bathrooms. Each drink is made with such care please stay open forever
Wonderful! The coffee and snacks are outstanding. The room is comfortable and inviting. AND they have a variety of live shows in a small room with reasonably priced tickets. The staff is attentive and helpful.

By far the most hip coffee shop in all of NJ and their coffee and pastries/foods are top notch. What a gem in this town!
