I placed a Door Dash order yesterday with this restaurant. It?s not the first time I?ve had food from here and not the 1st I?ve door dashed from it as well. I ordered 2 steak and onions with rice and beans. I also order a side of tostones. I also asked forextra garlic sauce for the tostones. Now I?ve had an issue before door dashing from this restaurant so I called the restaurantto make sure that everything I ordered was being sent they assured me it was. I dislike to write bad reviews but this bistec encebollado was terrible btw this was not my first time ordering this meal. It was really tough and barely taste like anything. The rice was okay. I usually eat from Florida bakery on 192 and everything theyhave is amazing. The bistec there falls apart and has an awesome flavor. The steak from borinquen is like eating sirloin andneed a knife to cut in a bad way. The reason I'm writing this review is because borinquen is one of the few Spanish restaurantsaround me and I would love if they put more effort in the kitchen and make a better tener steak. P.S go to FL bakery and trytheir steak and compare to your. World of difference. Best of luck
I work in a restaurant and know food well. Tonight my boyfriend went in and ordered food on the way home from his day. The food was very sub-par. The steak and onions, the steak was over cooked and neither were really seasoned, the salad had no dressing with it and the one tomato was bad (white spots/mold), the coconut shrimp had only 5 pieces and no sauce with it. Now, I looked at the menu after he got home. The menu online says 4.99 for the coconut shrimp. He paid 8.50 for 5 shrimp which is ridiculously priced. The place is a rip off. Total meal price was $23 and change, and was maybe about $10-$15 tops worth of food.
Excellent experience! I tried the Arroz con Pollo, and it was packed with flavor. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not overdone, and the rice had the right texture—neither too soft nor too firm. Given the affordable prices and delicious food, I would definitely order from here again.

We were a party of four. I always come every year since the opening of this location. There were times the food was average, but today the food was exceptional. My guests were totally content with their meals.
I ordered a small pizza to sample the restaurant, and it was excellent! The sauce had a wonderful flavor, the cheese had a fantastic texture, and the crust was perfectly crispy. I highly recommend this place!
Customer service is amazing, everybody is so nice and ready to help. The pizza is great, the cheese and crust is NY style. You get two beautiful slices of cheese pizza for 3 bucks. You have to try
