I was there at about 2 p.m. and had the place to myself. Both people working came to my table and asked about my day. Their interactions were just right and gave me a very welcomed and friendly feeling. I’m trying to cut carbs so I got the all meat omelette. I thought it a little strange that it had mushrooms in it. I like mushrooms so I accepted it without complaining. The omelette was served with one piece of toast. I know I should not have eaten it, but it was really good.
As a newcomer to the neighborhood, I was warmly welcomed. The pulled pork sandwich was outstanding, and the dressing was excellent as well. I wish I had caught the name of the gentleman at the front counter; he made us feel like part of the family and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. I will definitely be returning!
What took me so long to discover the wonderful food here??? Teresa is known for being a great cook and she's proving it in this cafe. Try the shrimp and grits! Great atmosphere with fun music setting the mood and really good food. Next thing to try is the Olive burger! And then soul food Sundays!

the food was amazing. recommend the goat curry. the people were super amazing and friendly. they even delivered to me across town. I will be back.
Enjoyed my time, with some great people. They host many different events for the black community very welcoming and the food was delicious.
