I ordered the steak tips rare, first time they were medium but alright figured the kitchen was a little off came back today I made it a point to stress I like them rare, I picked up my order went home cut in to them and they are like shoe leather, I've had beef jerky that was easier to chew, it's a joke, I don't order out often but I certainly will not be ordering from this place again. thank you but no thank you the staff always reflects the quality of the management and in this case it's sub par at best
I went here a couple weeks ago for lunch and I can’t stop thinking about my experience. I ordered the “Southie Reuben” and I think it was the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The waitress was super nice and efficient, and another man walked over to our table to inquire about our meals! I’m counting the minutes until I go back to order the exact same thing! Keep up the good work Boston Tavern…it’s nice to count on a local restaurant for such an impressive visit!
I wasn't particularly impressed with the buffalo chicken mac and cheese, although I'm not exactly sure why. There was just something about it that didn't sit well with me, but I couldn't quite identify what it was. I realized I should have ordered the shepherd's pie instead. On a positive note, the appetizer and dessert were fantastic! We had the pretzels with cheese and the cookie monster dessert, both of which were delicious.

Amazing food! I tried the recommended Southie Reuben, and it completely transformed my perspective on life! They also offered a fantastic cup of complimentary soup. I will definitely return to this place the next time I'm in Massachusetts.
If you like whole- belly fried clams, you can have them here where they are prepared in a light batter and served on a heap of well-seasoned fries. The burgers are also very delicious. The service is timely and the waitstaff is friendly.
