These days in Brisbane you can’t cross a road without running into a coffee shop or three.However when your searching for that perfect cup you can try a few different places before finding your personalised caffeine fix.I ventured into the Botero on a Thursday morning after seeing it across the road from my bus stop. If the line up for a cup is any indication to go by it is popular.However don’t be discouraged they have a well organised system and friendly team that will get your order to you quickly.I chose to have a dine in coffee and toasted sandwich for breakfast. Coffee - Simply divine. I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to coffee but try to be nice when it’s not perfect. These guys at Botero know what they’re doing. They roast their own coffee and have a very nice range. Amazing!Food – I tried Eggs Benedict on a Thursday morning. Their ham was off the bone and tender which I’ve never had in a café and certainly not with eggs. The amount of sauce was just right and the eggs were poached to perfection.Venue – It’s a beautiful old terrace house with three levels. I sat on the very top level for more privacy and a bit of quiet to read my paper. It did the trick.Staff - Friendly and helpful. They did exactly what I asked.Thank you Botero!
I've eaten breakfast here a few times, they have changed the menu around a little over the last few months. Whilst always tasting nice the servings are now more practical to eat easily. Also the wait staff appear more relaxed and effective. There are three levels of seating, if you're eating go up the first set for a shaded, collusive atmosphere or up the second set for bright and open. First level is fine for a quick coffee but otherwise way too busy.Overall probably my favorite breakfast place in the area.
I'm a bit of a regular here and everyone remembers my name which is really nice. They're all bright and friendly even when they're super busy. The coffee is great, service is warm and welcoming. I haven't had the chance to eat here yet because they're open during regular business hours and I'm always working but if you're looking for a trendy place to get a good coffee and some food while chatting to friends (or even just your daily fix) I heartily recommend. Thursday lunch with my wife and Daughter-in-law. They directed us upstairs to level three. Not very nice! no view. Downstairs is better. The coffee was good though! The menu is interesting and varied. The order did not go to plan though. My daughter received two meals. Maybe people should write things down! No charge though. The prices are a little high but the people are very friendly and service is quick. Give it a try!
I had eggs on toast, with a side of fried haloumi cheese. This was really tasty, and ok value for price. It was very filling so good for that.One thing I was super pleased with was that it has lactose free milk (not just almond or soy). Make my tummy extra happy.Often is really busy so may have to wait for a table if you want to dine in, but coffee and food to go is easy and quick.
