Terrible customer service! Went here on 8/3 Wednesday, placed my order with a lady alongside a gentleman. Around 3:15 another person showed up (maybe after her break, took over the register), when we received our order we mentioned it was to go if she could please give us a bag… the look on “HER” face was like as if we were asking for something impossible! Her attitude was rude and disgusting! Had heard good things about this place, friends saying whenever in town you must try it… what a disappointment… have to admit the fish was good but small portions and the steak fries (not expected) also not enough. Instead of a food truck, it’s a food boat that used to be a salmon fishing boat. Great reuse of materials. They’ve been in business a long time and are on a street with free parking. Be aware as I wasn’t, that it’s cash only and the fish is tuna, not the usual cod or haddock. If one doesn’t know this, they’ll think something is off or dry about the fish but for tuna, it was actually really good though I still prefer cod or haddock as my fish for fish n chips. I order fish and chips quite often; I really enjoy it as a lunch dish and so I've tried SO many varieties.. and I have to say this is the best I've ever had. The breading is a perfectly crispy, magically thin layer that adds just enough crunch without overpowering the fish itself, and by some type of magic or sorcery it adheres to the outside of the cod so smoothly and evenly that it doesn't lift at all, providing uniform taste with every bite. The fish itself was moist and delicious, very fresh with no hint of fishyness, and the tartar sauce was a excellent as well. I truly wouldn't have changed a thing. Bowpicker was a fun experience, they are a bit of a land markand have been there quite some time. The Salmon fish and chips was very good. This is evident by the long line that never seems to get shorter, but it does move fast so please don't sweat it. Although I do recommend the fish and chips here, please keep in mind that they only have fish and chips and some beverages, no sides. They are cooking and serving out of a56 foot boat , no real seating and parking is curbside. The food ai being made so fast that you get it right out of the fryer fresh and hot, super yum. And as you enjoy your meal, remember to be happy, mindful, and of course always be the best you.
I read about this place before I went through the coast on our trip and was not disappointed. Really the best fish and chips I've ever had! This is the only article in the menu and they have really turned it into an art. Rarely I had fish that were not fishy. It's just cash, and there's always a line, but it goes fast. Will definitely eat again.
