My husband and I are native New Yorker?s and while on the last leg of our vacation road trip, I reached out to my brother in law who is a native to Maryland and always brought me and my family these amazing crab cakes, but I could not remember where they were from, he told us the location and we made it the final pit stop of our trip! Well, let me tell you, this was the perfect final dinner for our little summer vacation and road trip ! The best note to end on! My husband was in absolute heaven trying their crab cakes! He is a foodie and grew up with an Executive Greek Chef for a Father, and has extremely high standards for food in general and especially for seafood....
We stopped in to Boxhill Pizzeria Crab Cakes for dinner and were completely satisfied. We got 2 orders of the 8oz Crab Cake Platter, the Hot Roast Beef, and the Fried Shrimp Platter. Garlic bread was brought out for the table. The crabcakes lived up to their reputation as being some of the best I’ve had. Great size and little filler served with tarter and cocktail sauce. It came with fries that were cooked well and a sweet tasting coleslaw. The roast beef was also served with fries and tasted good. Always my GO-TO when it comes to crabcakes. Worth every penny. Big, filling and hefty and the best words to describe it. I 've been going here for years but this was the first time I had their carrot cake and lemon berry cake. Now, I 'm not a big fan of whole fruits in my desserts but even with me taking out the berries the flavor was still infused from just being in it. You should really try it. My husband and I were searching for a dinner spot last night and finally decided to give this place a try. It was definitely worth the drive, and we plan to come back. The crabby BLT was delicious, and my husband enjoyed the seafood platter, which was fantastic as well. The pizza and crab dip were also really good—definitely a must-try!

I did not partake in their crab cakes, but my sister did and said they were delicious. Everything our table had (there was 6 of us) was so good. You have to try their crabby waffle fries (chef's kiss)!!! The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice.
One of the best displays of customer service I have experienced in Maryland. The owner welcomed us on our table! The food is amazing!!! Crab-Fries are the best I ever had. Definitely worth a visit if you don't!!! We're coming back!
The crab cakes here are absolutely fantastic—truly Maryland style! For my dinner, both the food and service were excellent, each deserving a solid 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was also amazing, creating a perfect dining experience!
Food was decent but the stuffed shrimp is overpriced for what you get and is just ok. My wife enjoyed the crab bread bowl. She loved it. That's why I give this 4 stars. Daughter had the pizza and said it was okay.

Tried Box Hill Pizzeria and Crab Cakes for the first time, and I am impressed with their crab cakes and they rank right up there with some of the big named players in the Baltimore area.
