As a foodie from Sarasota, I recently spent three days in Abingdon while riding the Creeper Trail, and I was thoroughly impressed with the food, service, and ambiance during my visit. It was the perfect way to start my day in one of the coziest and quietest small towns in Virginia. On a side note, I’ve fallen in love with Virginia. I now understand why the state motto is "A State for Lovers." You have a new admirer here! Looking forward to visiting The Girl and The Raven again. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.
Charming coffee shop in an old house. Food was delightful. Note that grits were not traditional but more course and with flecks of brown. I liked it but traditionalists might not. Granola bowl was tasty but on the sweet side. Oat milk flat white and cappuccino were both perfectly prepared! The fireplace going inside and the wood fire burning outside made it feel extremely cozy on a cold November morning. Manager (owner? came to check on us at end of our meal and was very kind.
I live in a large city now, and every time I come back to my home area, I love stopping here and meeting up with friends during the holidays. The food is exceptional, reasonably priced, and the renovated building provides a delightfully charming atmosphere. I always think if I were to bring others home with me, this would be a must-see stop. Service: Dine in
I love this local coffee shop! They roast their own coffee, have a delicious lunch menu, and amazing baked treats compliments of their in-house pastry chef! I highly recommend the Drip Coffee, Cinnamon Roll, and Biscuits and Gravy. The restaurant offers ample parking with free lot access.
My wife and I visit this coffee shop at least once a week. We absolutely love the flat white; it's the smoothest one I've ever tasted. Overall, I rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars!
