Brasserie Malherbe

An Englishman feels nervous adding his twopence worth to all the French praise, but here goes.I've not met the chef here but feel he, or she, must be a friendly and well nourished person. My wife and I had a huge and much appreciated meal here one cold day in January a few years ago. We sat surrounded by locals enjoying their lunch, and enjoyed ours. Recently we had the chance to eat there again. The conditions were different, as it was a warm September day and we sat outside.Despite the crowds we were greeted and seated promptly and wine and water brought straightaway. Everything's good, everything's scary. The idea would be a little less seasoning in some salads, because there are many. We loved him, but if you don't want to, you know, the staff is nice, he would probably be. the place is pleasant, the wines are chosen with application, a good time.

It was just a quick stop for lunch but the food was great, the wine very good and the service very quick and friendly. The duck and the potato wedge very tasty.
