Brau & Bistro

Tonight we decided to have some local food . We decided on the Braun & Bistro , as they had a few empty tables and the ambiance looked great in the sun . We had the Munchner WeiBwurste . Great Veal sausage with a soft pretzel , and we had a side of sauerkraut . All was good and we washed it down with some German beer which did it justice . The wafer/ chocolate dessert was not very good . The server was great and did well on her English , and even found us a couple of English menus .Overall , a good find .

The best dates are probably from Thu - Sat, Sunday & at the beginning of weeks are quiet, especially off seasonal times. Located at Altmarkt, old town area is fascinating and there is easy to move, by walking, let your car a little bit far away. Also tram system is available in town Cottbus. This Bistro seems to be like traditional german place where people sit down, discuss & enjoy living there.

The staff is verz nice and friendly, the food is great (one of the best ducks that i have ever eaten) and prices are not bad. Inside might be a little too hot.

With three others we enjoyed a range of fish, chicken and steak. Food great, staff friendly and drinks selection broad.

Sat outside in the sunny square enjoying weissbeir and a spreewald plate of bread and fish .lovely. .recommend it.
