In town for the weekend fromBoston. We were looking for a local breakfast spot, and saw there were only a few options so we decided to come here for the 4.5 stars. I am convinced that the people who have left high reviews of this place have never had a good meal and do not season their food at home. The food was so bland. The pancakes and French toast were laughable. Home fries tasted like old oil. Even the orange juice was bad. The staff was friendly and quick to clean a table for us but never checked in to see how we were doing. It was so bad I wanted to warn the crowds outside waiting for a table. The fact that there are only a few breakfast options in town has to be the only reason this...
This was our first time here. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Lots of windows and very patriotic decor. Our service was very slow. I order a breakfast sandwich with no egg. After 25 minutes our food can out and my sandwich had egg. The waitress said she forgot and brought it back to the kitchen. From my wife’s vantage point she saw them take the egg off and put the sandwich back together. When she brought it back my wife asked and the waitress said “oh no. We made a new one fresh .” Not true. Lucky I don’t have an allergy to eggs. I just don’t like them. To be honest I told my wife maybe it was just a bad day there. I said I might give it another try. She said “We are never going there again!”
I live near Boston, MA, and recently my husband and three children took a trip to Foxwoods. On our first day, after leaving our Airbnb, I searched for a good breakfast spot and stumbled upon this hidden gem. The food was both delicious and hearty, and my family thoroughly enjoyed it. We were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived, and the locals were friendly, offering cheerful greetings. The atmosphere was wonderful. Our host, a sweet older lady, provided excellent service, ensuring that everyone in our group was well taken care of, especially my youngest child who has autism. We will definitely make this our go-to spot the next time we visit.
If you're looking for pancakes that feel like you’re cutting through an overcooked steak and taste like leather, this is the spot for you! Even after a second attempt, the person at the grill just couldn't get it right. I could almost throw my pancake like a frisbee! On a positive note, my waitress was very kind and even offered to waive my bill. I insisted she charge me for my coffee so I could leave her a tip!

Service was friendly and fast. The food: Pancakes were undercooked and doughy, my 15 year old child makes better omelettes, the other teen I was with said that their school's tuna melt was better than Diana's.
The BLT was fantastic! Fresh tomatoes, crispy bacon that filled the sandwich so you had some in every bite. Always so friendly and the portions are great prices reasonable!
My husband and I always visit Diana's whenever we're in Connecticut. It's an amazing restaurant with delicious food and a fantastic staff. The atmosphere is very patriotic.
