As a new local to Barry, I went here for the first time today and it was nice weather (but a little windy down the water front so decided to sit outside. There was a slight instance with the parasol so I went inside to let a staff member know. He apologised and said he would tell the manager. Moments later we were approached by the lovely manager Josh, to double check everything was okay which was wholly appreciated, even though everything was fine. But due to the slight inconvenience he offer a gesture of goodwill which I accepted. I have worked within the hospitality industry myself, and found his manner and approach really pro-active, really friendly and super caring given I have my baby...
We have been using this brewers since it opened, have had family celebrations there, the food is great, the staff are friendly. I would give it 5 stars all day long....BUT...This morning my usual pleasant breakfast with my family was disrupted by none other than Peppa pig and various other cartoons playing into our ears at 100 decibels in some sort of surround sound, whilst managing to be at a frequency that cuts through background music and normal conversation, these seem to be emanating from various devices belonging to the offspring of the various self-centred, selfish and inconsiderate cretins that vaguely resemble parents. I went with my family for a easter sunday carvery our table was booked for 16.30 we arrived a little late but were welcomed by the bubbly carl and shown to a table and told the carvery was on and everything on the main menu was available well we all had carvery the man carving dont know his name sorry was very professional the meat and selection of vegetables was lovely Carl came over to check everything was okay after hour dinner he came over with coloring for the kids and said there was a coloring competition and they could win a prize that made the kids very happy so after a dessert when we will leaving we gave our coloring in and we're kids were given a bar of chocolate nice surprise we...
Absolutely disgusting sevice off the miserable manager..said thank you 3 times to he ignored because she was to busy chatting to staff..asked for a small child's meal as I can't eat a full meal..told I can't and was forced to order adults carvery!!! (I'm the paying customer) went with it then when I asked for a little tub of some sort to take meat home for my dog..I was abruptly to we don't do takeaways.. I paid for thosbig meal so I'm in my rights to take what I've left...only person I can say was lovely was the chef serving ..as for manager I will never return again and will also advise friends to stay well away...

We booked a table for 5pm and we asked for a window table and they had one spare so we were kindly sat there. They seemed short staffed but they were happy and friendly. Disappointed that they had sold out of Sunday roast by 5pm, but we chose different main courses and they arrived quite quickly and were delicious. We had green thai vegetable curry gammon, egg chips. We had a knickerbocker sundae for dessert. We also took advantage of the 2 for £10 cocktails
Lovely lunch as always and the staff are always very friendly and helpful,particular mention of Tracey who is always so welcoming to our family. We have been coming here for most weeks for the last 10 years and always a great lunch and speedy service. Thank you!
we popped here today for lunch and it did not disappoint !!!! food was lovely and the service given by josh was first class !!!! nothing was so much trouble for him and really made us feel welcome !! can’t wait to come here again thank you josh brilliant !!
Well, 100% improvement from my last review, the food was up to the standard of fine dinning. The staff were very friendly and customer service was top notch, atmosphere was very relaxing. Would definitely recommend Brewers fayre.
