Came to the bridge cafe with my other half. We came at 10am looking forward to a breakfast. We were met with a disappointing experience. Moved table wasn’t shown table everyone else couples of two sitting at tables of 4 but only...asked us to move. Full of tables of 4 only 2 tables of two both by the door which was very cold next to the window sill was full of food debris, cobwebs and just filth, hygiene obviously not a priority. My reason for not wanting to move table was rudely dismissed as if the choice was to either move or leave. Note there were only 3 couples in there all sitting on tables of 4 but we were the only couple asked to move due to them ‘expecting to get more busy’ even thou...
I cannot believe someone has left a rating of terrible. I can only assume it has something to do with the reviewers attitude and expectations. I have never been to a cafe where you are shown to a table. This is a cafe not a...restaurant. The bridge is always spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent with great prices. 10.00 am is when the bridge starts to fill up so if there were only 2 of us I would not expect to sit on a table for 6.
my wife and I just come here in the rule when we have made the work home and cannot cook. today was such a day and what a fantastic meal we had. I had Sampi chips and inherited while my wife had the homemade lasagne with chips....Beide were worth the money of less than £7. also my cappuccino was top class. well done. we will be coming back
I'd say this is a pretty typical English cafe, although the decor and atmosphere is nicer than a greasy spoon. There is a lot of variety on the menu and the prices are reasonable including cheap options.

The dining experience was disappointing. Why do cafes serve deep-fried sausages? It seems lazy. The food was cold, and while the service was adequate, I doubt I will be returning to this cafe.
Amazing food and customer service my friends and I are pretty much in there a couple of times a week Food is always good and coffee with a smile when delivered definitely recommend this cafe
than a greasy spoon but still firendly enough and reasonable decor. Coffee is really good quality and worth a visit alone. Friendly and helpful staff and well cooked food.
Since we were working from home, we couldn't make lunch ourselves, so we decided to order 2 baguettes, 1 speck, and 1 liter. Both were excellent and delicious.
