So, this weekend, my husband and I decided to have dinner at the Brio restaurant located at Spectrum Irvine. We eat at the Brio for aver 10 years. We love their beef carpaccio. As it was really crowded, we decided to take away. We ordered 3 beef carpaccio. What a surprise when we arrived home and started to dig in ! The portion was a third of the regular size !!! We thought it was maybe because they stacked the beef layers … but no ! The portion was minuscule. Almost $20 each ! Next day, we went back with one portion we didn’t touch to share our disappointment with the restaurant. Another bad surprise : their manager was super rude. Absolutely not apologetic ! We weren't greeted at all, there was no complimentary water offered, and when we inquired about the wine selection, we received no guidance. To make matters worse, our main course was served before our appetizer, and when we brought it up, there was no apology from the staff. Throughout our meal, no one checked on us to see if we were happy with our food. Our server was absent, and we even had to ask a different staff member for salt and pepper. As many many reviews already mentioned horrible service. No greetings! No water courtesy. No guidance provided when asked about wines, entree came before appetizer, when asked there was no apology. No one came and checked if we are okay with a food. Server wasn’t even around we kept looking as we needed some salt and pepper! Finally had to ask a random server. And after all of this nonsense server (name Sabino came and just put the bill, while we were clearly still working on everything ? I mean excuse me? care to ask if we need a box?NOTHING! Ok, the other reviews say the food is good but service is terrible. I could not agree more. The service is SLOW. Our poor waiter. They sat four full tables in his area at once and he was constantly waiting for the bar or the food for his tables. I felt so bad. Drinks were good, especially the margaritas. Food was decent except my husband's mashed potatoes were cold. I mean, really cold. Will we be back? No. We can get the same food at Olive Garden for 1/2 the price. I wanted to like this place, but it was a let down. The only shining star was our server, Sean.
My wife and I dined here on Friday, and we were pleasantly surprised by the short wait time. We kicked things off with calamari, which was decent—better than average, but not quite the best I've had. For our mains, we ordered the lamb and laughs, and both dishes were excellent. Our waitress was a bit odd in her demeanor, coming off as more like an Applebee's server rather than something a bit more upscale. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our meal and I would definitely recommend this place.
I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I must say, the lamb here is outstanding. I've tried lamb at many places, but this was by far the most tender and juicy I've ever had. As for the side dishes, the potatoes were a bit too salty, and while the asparagus was tender, it was also on the salty side. We decided to share the cheesecake for dessert, and it was wonderfully rich, especially since we were all quite full from dinner.
Great spot! The food is delicious. However, we weren't greeted when we arrived and had to search for someone to assist us in getting seated. On the bright side, our server was very friendly.

service is great. lobster and shrimp fattyuccine is very good the chopped salat is very good, only the fried calamari is like a rubber. overall it is great!
great Italian food. the lasanha is perfect. inside is very clean and organized. they give a special cup and menu for the children to drink and play.
