I’ve generally been a fan of Brock’s Barbecue, but my recent visit was quite disappointing. While I understand the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic, it can’t be used as an excuse for everything. Many businesses have cited staffing shortages and supply issues to justify higher prices, but as customers, we expect the service to remain at an acceptable level despite these difficulties. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case during my visit. The food arrived promptly, which was appreciated, but my wife’s platter came on a chipped plate, partially hidden by the food. When we tried to bring this to our server’s attention, she was too busy and didn’t acknowledge us. Typically, you expect a s...

In my never-ending Tuesday quest to find the best buffet... we find this spot. Brock?s BBQ took us 30 minutes to reach from the Airport. The food was good. Fresh but very slow coming out. The beans tasted unseasoned and straight out of a can. The greens very good. The corn was ok. The mash potatoes were average. The salad bar was very simple. The meat ? we?ll let me tell you. The chicken was to die for. I try to stay away from fried foods but the seasoning on the chicken and fried livers kept pulling me back in. I LOVED it!!! The BBQ ? was pretty smoky and tasty. The pulled pork was more of a shredded pork and was very good because it wasn?t stringy. Almost like chopped BBQ. Either way those...

This is probably the worst restaurant in the breast area/chester. My wife and I took her parents there and the service was terrible and not as they are underoccupied (which we get) but terrible, as in waitress went up, what do you not want a hello and the service continued so that we two other waiters on water after waiting about 25 30ish min. Then we asked for more ketchup we waited 10mins ok that not much of a problem. But then the waitress returned the same ketchup bottle with the same amount. A little later my father asked in the law for cocktail sauce and the waitress brought him out of frozen solid cocktail sauce. We love to support mothers and pop spots, but the mix of service and BBQ... Reserva una mesa ahora
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Terrible experience. Make sure to read other reviews and double-check your order before leaving. I ordered takeout and the food was awful. The "baked" chicken looked boiled and was drenched in watered-down barbecue sauce. The brisket was extremely dry, and the barbecue sauce itself was diluted. The full rack of ribs tasted like they had been left out for a while. You have to specifically ask them not to put sauce on the ribs, even if you order the dry rub. The roll was hard and stale. The only thing remotely decent were the corn fritters. When I called to request a partial refund, they told me I had to bring the food back. If I lived closer, I would have done so immediat...
I’m a bit biased since I’m not a huge BBQ fan (or maybe just picky), but the experience wasn’t bad. We started with the Jalapeno Corn Poppers, which are like mini cornbreads filled with corn, cream cheese, jalapenos, and bacon. They weren’t spicy, though I was hoping for a bit more heat. My grandma, who is pretty picky, enjoyed them. I had the Create Your Own BBQ Combo with St. Louis-Style Wet Ribs, Fried Shrimp, Curly Fries, and Collard Greens, and still had plenty left to take home. My mom and grandma both ordered the Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich and liked them. Out of everything, I liked the fries the best, but again, I’m picky. The service was excellent!
You need to either update your opening hours on your phone message and website or you risk losing customers. Mr. Brock would be dismayed to know his once-reputable restaurant is being poorly managed. During my last visit, the buffet was cold, and we had to ask for hot food. Unfortunately, I don't plan on returning since I can’t rely on your hours. Restaurants need consistent hours that customers can trust, and it seems like this has been forgotten, or it simply doesn’t matter to you. It’s a shame because your food is good, but your inconsistency with hours has tarnished your reputation.
We had lunch together and both opted for the shredded pork barbecue sandwich. I chose fries as my side, while my husband went with onion rings. A nice bonus was that we were offered slaw to add to our sandwiches—of course, we said yes! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal; the food was excellent. The service was great, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. Overall, we're really glad we came here. Reserva una mesa ahora
Brock has been a staple for a long time, and with its recent renovations, it remains a popular choice. The buffet is fantastic and a highlight in the BBQ scene! The service is top-notch, and make sure to save some room for the peach cobbler!

"Fantastic food in this area with limited options! There aren't many choices for a lunch break, so I'm really pleased to have discovered this spot. It's a refreshing change from fast food and hoagies."
