Charlies Hamburgers

This cozy and simplistic spot is perfect for grabbing some classic burgers. They offer delicious griddle-smashed burgers that are thin with a crispy exterior. I tried the Charlie's Special (burger with cheese, fried onions, tomato, and pickles) and the Peg Special (double burger with cheese, fried onions, and bacon), while my wife opted for a hot dog served split flat on a burger bun. We also shared a small order of fries and onion rings (batter fried whole onion rings). The food came out quickly and satisfied our cravings. While it may not be groundbreaking, if you're in the area and craving a tasty burger, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

THE PERFECT RATIO. That's what makes Charlie's among the best burger joints in the entire world. Does it have the best burger patty? Not necessarily. The best cheese or onion or tomato? No. But, Charlie's has figured out the exact proportions to allow good ingredients to be perfected. Every bite of Charlie's has every ingredient represented equally and consistently, something that is very difficult for most other restaurants. I am always impressed by Charlie's Perfect Ratio, and will always make a visit to Charlie's whenever I'm in the area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Wow, the burgers at Charlie's are absolutely delicious. I have been living in Delco for 3 years now, and these are the best burgers I have tried. They may not be very large, but they are priced accordingly and have the perfect balance of ingredients. The fries are thin and seasoned perfectly, just the way I prefer them. I always feel confident ordering from here because they never disappoint. I would give them a perfect 10 out of 10 rating.

Burgers are the most flavorful burgers around. Patties are small is the only complaint I 've heard in 30 years, so I get a double every time, but the taste and freshness is unbeatable. If you want a diner smash-patty burger, this is almost certainly the best place to get it in the area. Small dining area, but sparkly clean and cozy atmosphere. Don't expect dazzling plating presentation: that's not what this place is about.

The interior has a great retro feel and the people working there were kind, quick, and courteous. We had bacon cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings, and milkshakes. Everything was delicious! My only complaint is that I wish I lived closer.

This fantastic old-fashioned burger shop has a small, affordable menu that includes excellent shakes, burgers, and fries. While there's nothing fancy about it, it's definitely worth a visit for a delicious burger and shake.

Hadn't been to Charlie's for 40 years. It used to be on 420. As soon as I smelled the hamburger it's brought back so many great childhood memories. Best burger and milkshake ever.

Charlies burgers are without a doubt the best burgers ever. I'm not sure what makes them so superior, but nothing can beat their cheeseburgers and black and white shakes.
