Brooklyn Bagels is honestly the best bagel shop in New Jersey!! Everytime I visit Totowa to see my grandparents, I have to stop at Brooklyn Bagels and get me my Taylor Ham? , egg ? , and cheese ? on an everything bagel. Don’t get me started on the french toast ? it’s to die for. Food is always made fresh??? and I can honestly taste the difference in quality. The shop is always so clean and I can probably eat off the floor if I had to. Aside from that I had the chance to speak ? with one of the owners, Vanessa, who took my order, and she gave me great recommendations ? that I can’t wait to try when I am next in the area. The restaurant is not very clean. I noticed that the employees wear gloves but then touch everything with both hands. For instance, the employee who served me grabbed cash coins with a gloved hand, handed me my change, and then went on to touch someone’s bagel using the same gloves. I saw another employee do something similar, and a third one touched various surfaces in the store without changing her gloves. At no time did any of them switch gloves. As for the food, it was average or even a little below that.
The Nutella French Toast is actually a powdered sugar bagel with Nutella, so it's definitely not traditional French toast. There's no mention that it’s a bagel instead of real toast, and at nearly $10, that's misleading. The bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel was just a disappointing breakfast sandwich. The toppings were so thinly spread that they barely covered the bagel. We couldn't even finish our meal. Overall, we left feeling quite disappointed.
Worst bagels I've ever had. I ordered several bacon, egg, and cheese bagels, and they arrived as nothing more than a bagel with a single slice of bacon and a flat egg—not at all like the pictures. I was extremely disappointed, especially considering the price. Don't bother trying them; they're not worth the money. There are much better options nearby with higher quality and better portions. Truly disappointing.

This place is terrible! I paid $4.25 for a burnt mini bagel—can you believe it? $4.25 for a mini bagel! Everything here is way overpriced, and these are definitely not the best bagels you can find. I recommend steering clear of this place; it's a complete joke, and it's clear they only care about making money. What a disappointment!

This is one of the best bagel places around. I used to visit frequently about 10-12 years ago. After moving back, I'm delighted to find that the food and service remain just as dependable as I remember. Grace, in particular, is a gem—always friendly and efficient. Everyone seems to know her. I hope they treat her well!
Honestly. To Pay 19$ for a tuna on rye and a egg salad sandwich. There was basically nothing on it. Been a few times. I am actually more hungry at this point. At least make the sandwiches a little more beefy. They are like 1st grader sandwiches.
