We drove from Agricola to visit my favorite pizza place about an hour one way. We got there after 7pm on Saturday. It was kinda busy, but after the dinner rush. We ordered a pie and sat and waited for them to call out when it was ready. They never called. After 40 minutes, my wife went to the counter. They thought it was a to go order. My wife bought the box to the table and it was the worse pie I ever saw. None of the usual cooks were there. There were a bunch of teenage kids behind the counter. As a New Yorker, I found the pizza at this restaurant to be lacking the authentic taste of Brooklyn or even New York style pizza. While it wasn't terrible, it just didn't meet my expectations. The sauce was bland and I think they may have put too much on as my slice was soggy. The crust had too much dough for my liking and the little bit of crust I did try was too hard, almost like reheated fries. I prefer my pizza to have a crispy bottom, not a stale taste. The garlic knots were also a disappointment, tasting like greasy dough instead of having the desired consistency of a baguette - slight crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside. So my first night living in Gulfport, and I was looking for a good pizza to be delivered. I saw them on line with good reviews and called. They told me that they DIDN'T deliver. So I said I'd pass tonight. (I had just moved in, and was exhausted). Then I realized how close I was and decided that I'd order and pick it up. Called and called. No answer. Called from my husband's phone and they answered right away. I wanted not only a pizza, but a Stromboli and a salad. Apparently I didn't talk fast enough to explain what I wanted because I was hung up on AGAIN! I don't know how good they are! But why should I give them a second chance? Ugh. I moved here for the friendly people!
First time ever eating here and was some of the best pizza I’ve had. Everything was cooked to perfection. We only got pizza but it was good. We ordered a large and it was so big that it looked like an extra large. Definitely worth trying for the pizza. Parking: The parking lot is shared with other stores so it’s plenty parking.
