I haven't been here since COVID started and since the takeover of new owners. This is an older, casual restaurant with stands and tables for seating. It's not a traditional dinner yet, it's not fantastic. The general atmosphere and lighting is warm and casual. Our hostess was nice. We didn't have to wait until we were sitting. Our server was personal, knowledgeable about the various specials (which are also listed when you come) and gave us the right amount of attention. We went to breakfast. There were plenty of menu selection and specialties. I had served an Omelet special with mushrooms and cheese with local frits and a selection of bread for toast. The omelet was excellent and the portions were good. (I brought half of my meal home). The fries were tasty and not slandered as in many places. My friend had made cunning eggs to like them, toast and a fruit cup stacked high with strawberries and blueberries. We had both coffee, which was good and moderate. The ladies' room is small with only one single occupancy; not unusual, but sufficient. At check-out, the cashier was pleasant and encouraged us to return. I want to support private businesses instead of chains and based on this experience I will return and encourage others to try.
