I am not sure what Brown's has done to their chicken, but my wife and I recently had what might be the worst fried chicken we have ever tasted. We ordered the ten-piece special, expecting a variety of pieces such as breasts, thighs, wings, and legs. However, we received mostly legs and thighs, along with a few unidentifiable pieces of meat. The breading was heavy and greasy, and overall, the chicken was disappointing. We will not be returning to Brown's. It is unfortunate that other popular fast food chains like Popeyes, Jewel, KFC, Uncle Bubs, and Chick-fil-a have much better offerings.
Brown's Chicken was always a favorite. I haven't had it for years because our local location closed years ago. I happened to be in the vicinity of the Downers Grove location and just had to see if it still was as good as I remembered...it was! Had chicken, a biscuit, and the mushrooms.Super moist and crispy chicken, decent biscuit, but it seemed like it was heated in the microwave. Mushrooms are crunchy outside, blazing hot and tender inside.I will go out of my way to go back.
Boy, do I miss having these around! Since I no longer have a Brown's Chicken near me, I couldn't resist stopping into this one in Hinsdale for a quick bite. Chicken was fresh, hot, and crispy. Ordered a side of fried mushrooms and was reminded of how Brown's prepared them best. Their breading truly is superior.
I was in drive through and the gentleman working Sept 19, 2023 at 1:24 (Authorization 02624G Receipt ZSp9) for very kind and patient. I've never been and he explained the menu and gave me suggestions per my taste buds. Thank you so much.

I ordered gizzards but I couldn't even eat them because they were so tough. I'm not sure what they were, but they definitely weren't gizzards.
Overall, great value of of chicken dinner with coleslaw... Provide a wonderful customer services in Downer Grove.....
Love there specials. Wish more were around have a little bit of a drive but not too bad.
The food is fantastic, the staff is welcoming, and the restaurant is impeccably clean.

The chicken liver was great. Parking: Have some longer spaces for bigger trucks
Didn't eat there took someone else there. She love the gizzards.
