I love the bagels at this restaurant, and the place is very clean with friendly staff. However, I was disappointed during my recent lunch visit when I ordered a panini. The pictures online and on the menu showed a traditional panini with grill marks, so when I ordered, I specifically asked if it was made with ciabatta bread and if it was grilled in a panini press. I was assured that it was. Unfortunately, when my order arrived, it turned out to be a folded flat wrap that had been placed on a regular grill instead. It wasn't ciabatta bread and was definitely not made using a panini press. If I had known the truth, I wouldn't have ordered it, especially since the images seemed to depict a diff...
We were in East Brunswick early in the morning for some pool repairs and needed a quick breakfast spot. It’s not the easiest place to find—you could easily miss the entrance. However, once we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and spacious dining area. My egg sandwich was delicious; it was well-made and not messy at all. The bacon was perfectly crispy, and the bagel was nicely toasted and had the right texture. While most of the tables were generally clean, they could use more frequent cleaning. Overall, it was a great experience, and it seems to be a popular spot!
We moved to NJ several years ago, found this bagel store which tasted like home #Brooklyn but the manager was a complete mess. He was rude and always nasty. Today I was craving there tuna salad and was ready for bad customer service. I haven’t been here in over two years. But to my wonderful surprise there is a NEW manager and my heart was restored excellent customer service amazing food who could ask for anything more. Thank you There food, smoothies and bagels are always good nice and fresh. My family is very excited we will be coming back regularly.
Best bagel/lunch spot in East Brunswick. I've been coming here for over 15 years and had great service through my life from middle school to high school to every time I visit my hometown. This place is a childhood staple, definitely recommend the classic PEC on an everything bagel SPK, bagels w/flavored cream cheese and for lunch, quesadillas and brunswick wraps! Thanks for everything throughout the years!

I’ve found my favorite place for meals while working and staying in the area. The breakfast bagel was incredibly fresh and delicious—just melted in my mouth! I also grabbed a turkey bagel for lunch at work, and it was equally outstanding. Everything was perfect!
Stopped here for a quick bite on a road trip and had some fantastic bagels. Super easy to pull in if you're heading down the highway. Nothing exciting about the atmosphere, but there are a few seats inside if you want to dine in.
Mishaped and hard bagels on Sunday. I threw out the dozen bagels we just bought that day. They were a total disapontment. The SEC on a hard roll was ehh but that's the reason for the 2nd star.
Rude staff and owner. I found a hair in my bagel that is overpriced for some reason. Wanted to charge me $2 to toast my bagels from before (half a dozen). Never going back to this nasty place…

it's an okay bagel place. But their is no wow factor to their sandwiches. BEC is just meh nothing special regular sandwich, def better bagel places.
For a restaurant whose name has bagel in the title you’d think the bagels would at least be good !!
