Unfortunately it was exactly as I should have expected but for some reason it seemed like it was going to be better. I had a burger and it was really poor not badly cooked but a really low quality roadside van type meat burger, which was a shame as the menu made a point of saying how it was 100% beef and quality standard beef etc... I wasn 't the only one who thought this as I overheard another customer say the same and for close to £15 when you add the one slither of bacon for £2, it felt like it should have been better. Worth noting that the photos on the menu are not representative of the food, nor do they claim to be which should have been another red flag to be honest. Otherwise it was...
We recently decided to have a meal in here for convenience after some fun on the arcade machines in Coral Island, but we really wish we didn't bother. We ordered the chicken tikka masala which was completely bland with no flavour, chewy chicken pieces, and watery rice. Also £2.25 for two small poppadoms that were so salty they were inedible. The other dish ordered was fish and chips, which again was extremely bland, flavourless, and the batter on the fish was really soggy. The mushy peas may as well have been described as pea soup because they were so slimy and runny. The service was okay.
Fantastic bar staff are friendly and helpful and the meals are absolutely beautiful. When looking at the menu thought they were a bit overpriced but when the meals came out to us we could understand. You get loads! Two of us had lasagne and it was absolutely gorgeous never tasted lasagne like it. One had the lamb shank which was thoroughly enjoyed the meat just fell off the bone. Brilliant food which did not take long to be served. Brilliant staff who were all friendly. I would highly recommend a visit.
We visited Blackpool for a family day out to see the illuminations and had lunch at The Buccaneer in Coral Island. Despite it being busy, we were seated right away. We quickly ordered our food and drinks, which arrived promptly and were excellent. The best part was that children under 10 eat for free with every paying adult, so our total bill for three adults and two children was only £46. This is great value and we highly recommend dining here.

We popped in to have a refreshing drink and we were pleasantly surprised by our friendly welcoming. The pirate on duty try at day was fabulous and great with kids. Nothing was too much trouble. We had snack food and it was good and the atmosphere was brilliant. We will return. Thanks Jack
The staff is excellent, we were seated promptly and our food was brought out very quickly. I appreciate the fact that you order your food and drinks separately, which helps avoid any confusion and speeds up the order process. The food is delicious and the restaurant is very clean.
Was on a trip to coral island and popped in for lunch. I had burger and chips which was very nice and my partner had the steak and mushroom pie with chips which she enjoyed. Place was clean and tidy and Wcs were very clean. Will definitely pop in for food again in the future
Staff are extremely welcoming, helpful and curtious. Captain Jack made my daughter feel so comfortable when she asked for a photograph with him after having a pirate face painting

We went for a Sunday carvery. The food was amazing and all the staff were very polite and friendly Would definitely go again and highly recommend here
Excellent food, excellent service. Food was served promtly even at a busy time and portion sizes are more than generous.
