The steak was excellent, but we were disappointed with the overall experience considering the £115 we paid. The half of a lettuce covered in dressings that came with the steak was not what we expected. The roasted vegetables were drenched in oil, making them slimy and wilted. The chips were clearly frozen and not homemade. The onion loaf was also of questionable quality, being rock hard. Despite these issues, the staff was friendly. Overall, the service was good, with a rating of 4 out of 5. The atmosphere was pleasant, also receiving a rating of 4 out of 5. Price per person for dinner was around £50-60.
Our server Michelle was fabulous, friendly and professional. I came with my husband and we had cheesy garlic bread to start which was great then had Chateaubriand which wasn’t that great at all. There was just no flavour to the steak, the greens came in a pool of oil so we left these, peppercorn sauce was ok but the Chimichurri sauce was also swimming in oil so we swapped this for a different sauce. The steak itself hadn’t been rested for long enough so there was myoglobin everywhere which was very off putting. We’ve been tonight for a last minute meal before holiday and it was amazing. Our server Lee couldn’t have done more for us. She was bright and enthusiastic with passion for his job. He’s an absolute star and a real asset to his team. The food was beautiful. I bought my mum a gift card to use with you, she’s tried to call you to use it on the click and collect option and even left her details as your voicemail states yet no one has got back to her, since then I’ve tried calling and no answer, I filled in the complaint section on your website last week with my details and no response from you, I’ve never received such poor customer service in my life. Lee was excellent, he looked after my wife's allergy requirements and made sure we all had everything we needed. He was friendly and did really well with the service considering he had a table of 15 to serve. A credit to the company. Dietary restrictions: Well catered for.
