I've passed this restaurant many times and have only heard great things about it. I finally had dinner there this week and it was an extraordinary experience. They close at 9:30 on Tuesday. Since it was 8:45, I called and asked if they could still seat me as I was 7 minutes out. They were very warm and welcoming so I went. The ambience is quaint and traditional with real table cloths, perfect lighting and nice background music. When I walked in, a few of the tables were conversing in Italian. My server, Basa, was extremely helpful and very attentive. GREAT service. After she explained the specials and answered my questions, I decided to order the Linguini Tutto Mare for my entree. Everything was great. I appreciated our table was ready they let us sit as we arrived rather than all waiting then being seated. Our server was excellent-he was attentive, accommodating very pleasant. The cozy atmosphere allowed for others in the restaurant joining to sing my Mom “Happy Birthday”. She loved that!!! Thank you for making her 86th birthday extra special.
A local favorite continuing to serve the locals but welcoming to visitors warm ,welcoming environment. While the food remains Italian it has some regional influences which may surprise dinners. Sauces could be more subtle Only negative with respect to service was the wine service. Some confusion over price of what appeared to be duplicate listing.
Excellent food and service, Restaurant is comfortable with a cute decor. A little pricey, but the portions are large and would likely provide at least one additional meal for the next day. Parking is easy, too.

THe petrale fish special was outstanding. A myriad of flavors burst through, and the fish was fresh. The bread was excellent, as was the polenta and veggies. My companions' parmagan dishes were also excellent.
I go to this Italian place not because the food is delicious: its not, but its easy... the staff is nice, the parking is convenient, the food id decent and fast.

No frills American-Italian place near SFO. Expensive for what it is due to the airport premium, but certainly not bad by any means.
