Burger In The Square

After discovering a feature on Hometown Eats about Burger In the Square, I knew we had to try out this burger establishment. We ordered burgers, fries and onion rings....classics that you can 't go wrong ordering. After the way the news reporter rave about this place, I couldn 't wait to dive in. Well to say I was disappointed was an understatement. The burger was drowning in either butter or grease. When biting into the burger it was hard to tell which 'grease ' I was tasting. You need a bib to handle the excess grease that will be all over your hands and dripping from the burger. Did I mention the burger was undercooked? The place was busy and customers seemed happy. They have a large menu, with a lot of good options to get things the way you like them Good burgers. Nice staff. Lots of good options. The bacon double cheeseburger with all the fixings was tasty and very filling. My wife got the single Bacon cheeseburger. It was also generous, so I would recommend ordering that unless you have a large appetite. Hush puppies were okay. I would eat them again, but they were NOT the best I've ever had.

Great menu with a lot of options. The lady that took our order at the register was so kind and patient as we scanned the large number of options. Tea was sweet and strong, and the place, quaint. We had burgers including a good sourdough toasted burger. Staff was efficient. It's kind of easy to miss this place off the road so after the stoplight, just look off the road for a brick non descript bldg with a few outdoor tables/seats.

All I got was a mushroom swiss burger. It came on just a regular bun. It started falling apart after the first bite. I support small businesses, but when I get service like this, it makes it very difficult. Reserva una mesa ahora

Mostly the best version of a burger diner around. Don't come expecting anything too fancy, but if you are craving an American burger or fry classic you will not leave disappointed. Very good

Best burger I have ever eaten ! I used to live in Roanoke and would eat here. Came back to Roanoke for a visit and went here for dinner. Now I remember why I always loved this place !

It's an amazing place ! The food is delicious the service is great and they try to give you the best experience! If you have the chance to get your food here, do it !

Never ate here before. Stopped in for a bite last weekend. Glad we did. Neat local restaurant. Burger was very good and waffle fries too. Recommend this local place. Reserva una mesa ahora

Really friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The burger was amazing while the regular fries were good but could've used some seasoning.

Wonderful food, daily specials that are creative and tasty. The interior decor is lacking but often the best places are.
