The renovations were lovely and the outdoor area looked amazing. The prices of the drinks and food pointed to something a little more extravagant than what was served. The steak sandwich was nothing but an over cooked, dry and cold minute steak dressed up with onions and turkish bread. The first one was sent back as inedible, the second one was no better. For $28 you don't expect a minute steak on a steak sandwich, let alone a cold, dry blackened, over cooked grissly peice of inedible meat. Well we went back tonight after the 6 million dollar renovation. Place was busy but not packed, The wine and beer prices are nothing short of extravagantly expensive. The menu has a lot to be desired. If this is what you come up with after the big renovation then your restaurant will be empty in a fortnight. My wife had the chicken schnitzel, it was cold and so where the chips. Pretty sure the coleslaw was from a packet too. I had the mushroom carbonara. I had to pay $4 extra for bacon. Which again came from a packet in the shape of bacon pieces. It was average at best, the same meal at a local club is cheaper and presented better with bacon included. We were dining with our parents, who placed their orders a minute before us. They received their meals in about 10 minutes. We received one of our meals 5 minutes later, but had to wait an additional 25 minutes for the other three meals to arrive. By that time, our parents had already finished their meals. Despite the slow service, the food was good. It was not exceptional for the price, but still tasty. Overall, it was not a great first experience at the renovated venue.
Arrived for lunch today only to find the bistro is closed and will be for some time while the renovations are happening, which is fine, however there are no signs telling anyone about the bistro being closed anywhere near the building, car park or on the website. Apparently the bar and poker machines are still open. I think if they really valued their customers they would at least let them know what is happening.

The worst Customer service honestly don’t work in hospitality if you don’t have customer service skills !!! And also I think it’s your Manager the lady with Glasses which is even worse !!! Learn some customer service skills if you were my staff you would not have a Job!! I own a Bar and would never have anyone work for me like you
I have been here many times and it was always a good place for a cheap no frills meal. But we came down last week and were very impressed with the quality and price of our streaks. The service is ok although it could do with an improvement. Our steaks were cooked as requested, very tender and we were most pleased.
I had the pumpkin pizza which you would expect to have pumpkin pieces on it but looked and tasted like baby food pumpkin puree had been spread over the pizza base. Some pesto and cheese dollops. Someone came and collected 1 finished with plate but left everything else.
The restaurant has undergone fantastic renovations and the staff is very accommodating. They offer a good selection of meals in a beautiful setting. The staff is very friendly, especially the garden bar manager Dave. I plan to become a regular visitor here.

Sadly the Reno hasn't improved the meal quality. Ordered the 4 cheese pizza but came out as a calzone which was undercooked and raw dough inside. Drinks are to expensive and meals are average. Would Def recommend giving it a miss.
The food was overpriced and ordinary to eat as for the wood fired pizza absolute rubbish,I don’t recommend this hotel for lunch to anyone.
