Cafe-Bistro Schiffsteg Maennedorf

We should try this bistro during the months of June, July, and August because the lake of Zurich is most beautiful in summer. This bistro/restaurant is located right at the ship landing of Männedorf and during the sunny season the tables are extended to the...water front and the passengers on the ships are staring at us enviously waving their hands at us. The building used to be a waiting shelter of the ship station but it is now nicely renovated into an elegant café-bistro. On the menu card there are only several dishes, most of which are Swiss specialities such as fondues and lake fish but the selection of wines and beers are not bad as the local Männedorfers love to come here for a glass...

To find a place to eat right on the water is not easy on the golden coast So living nearby this is a great addition to all the other overpriced options. It's a simple style, but to add a special tweeze there are antic chandelier...hanging in the trees. Summer 2013 there was a good offer with a nice veriety of international dishes well adapted to the season. This year the weather was bad and so it took me a while to come back. It was still the same beautiful athmospere and nice service. But what had changed is the menue...somehow the concept goes now traditional Swiss style with Fondue and other tradional, rather heavy dishes that one prefers to eat in fall and winter season. we decided to give this place an attempt as we were in the opposite. the personal has no idea of customer service at all! the first waiter said he couldn't accept orders, but he said the waitress we waited for the service. she served us all so we could get out. in the current economic climate with tourism, places like these can easily be out of business and earned so that they treat their customers like them. don't eat here!

Das Bistro profitiert von einmaliger Lage direkt am Schiffsteg in Männedorf. Das Essen ist von den Portionen her eher mager, von der Qualität her okay. Leider stimmt das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Trotzdem ist es oftmals schwierig einen Tisch zu ergattern, da die Lage hier wichtiger als die gastronomische Leistung ist. Reserva una mesa ahora

Bistro direkt am Bootssteg mit kleiner Speisekarte und 2 Tagesmenü.Hatte einen Tomaten/Mozzarella-Salat.War in Ordnung, hätte man aber liebevoller anrichten können. Als Zwischenstopp kann man das Bistro sicher weiterempfehlen, allein schon wegen der sehr schönen Lage.

When we arrived, I had great hopes, so the intention was amazing, but I was disappointed. the waiter could not speak German. I ordered the chicken wings à la discrétion they were stomach-curning. do not order the chicken wings I warned them.

An einem verregneten Juli-Mittag hatte das Restaurant lediglich ein Curry auf der Speisekarte. Dieses war zwar sehr gut, dennoch fehlt ein wenig die Auswahl.
