Just up to its reputation. This is rare but it is clear that it is difficult to take this table otherwise. You are greeted with kindness as soon as you enter this small, warm restaurant combining a traditional setting and atypical decoration. Of course, it 's a little hot in the small room to the left of the kitchen, but the service is so attentive that it encourages kindness. Attentive and extremely efficient: competent and attentive sommelier, fast, efficient waitress who announces the dishes clearly. The welcome was warm and friendly, service was impeccable and wine was excellent. Menu was short but promising, unfortunately the food execution was lackluster, underwhelming and far below expectations given the price point. The balance of flavours were just wrong!From the overly fishy amusement-bouche to the mussel soup that tasted pretty much how it looked (not appetising , to the extremely tough Veal and not so tender beef ribs with a dessert, advertised as mousse, that had the consistency of school canteen pudding with overly generous gelatin, seriously lacking in sugar and any kind of flavour. A real table for connoisseurs. Refined and local cuisine, concocted with passion while relaxing in a magnificent well-stocked garden. Nestled between Sierre and Crans-Montana, this culinary gem is worth the detour. The service is not left out. We feel good and we leave already thinking about the next visit to Café Cher-Mignon. We had the most perfect dining experience! From the moment we walked in we knew we’d come to a special restaurant. The interior is warm and nicely designed. The owner gave wonderful wine recommendations and the food was cooked to perfection. It truly is a hidden gem, off the beaten pass. You won’t want to miss eating here!
Everything was fabulous . The menu was delicious, fine and well balanced, the service kind, warm, competent, the Chef shares his passion through his creations in a place where authenticity, simplicity yet sophistication is present.
