This was not the special experience that we had hoped for. This is seen as THE place for raclette in the region, and it was even not so easy to get a reservation for this place. The food in general was good, but it was the service that lacked the professionalism and quality I expected from a place like this. Most importantly, I was very surprised to see that one of the people preparing the raclette (which was done on the terrace) was working with bare hands and was scraping of the first bit of cheese with his fingers, on the customer’s plate! We had planned to go to another place that ended up being full, so Chateau de Villa was a back up plan, and an excellent surprise. Very nice outside and inside sitting, with a quite, green surrounding, very tasty fondue and raclette (especially fondue!) it's the swiss experience in a nice sort of quiet way. The wine menu is incredible (600+ kinds), the service is caring and super friendly and it makes for a nice moment with friends. Would definitely recommend!
Wow. Oh wow. Oh wow. I’ve never had a meal like this. Raclette is like a shaved and melted cheese. Here it’s all from the valley, and paired with a local wine, the meal is heavenly. The pickles were also phenomenal This was fantastic food and environment. Highly recommend.
Great architecture/ambience, diverse good quality wine from local regions, speciality cheese dishes (fondue & raclette). Good service & knowledgeable staff. Must try the wine bar. As a starter,we tried walliserteller (local dried meat plate) which was really good. Reserva una mesa ahora
