Cafe De La Paix - Reserva de mesa

For some time we had planned to dine at the Cafe De La Paix in Gensac, but it was the arrival of a house guest that prompted our visit.Reviews from our Tripadvisor reviewers had raised our expectation of a great meal and splendid evening, but the expectation was not realised on the day. I am prepared to say that we were unlucky, perhaps the chefs off day, but alas this was an experience to forget.The cafe has a traditional French exterior which says, "traditional Country French Cooking' so entering through the front door to be greated with a pool table, took the shine of of that.The greeting from the serving lady was warm and friendly and put us at our ease.Yes they had our reservation and s...

We went 4 times in our week's holiday, had drinks on the terrace which is tiny but has a spectacular view. It was 31 degrees and we were boiling but couldn't drag ourselves away! Also had pizza one night and the service and food were perfect. Our teenagers went themselves for cokes and the free WiFi and felt very welcome. They have a pool table to keep them happy too. On our last day, we sat outside at a table for drinks and downloaded our mobile boarding passes and wished we weren't going home. We'll be back in July...this us our first stop!

Didn't seem that welcoming but food was fine. Italian salad for me and ham and cheese toast for my wife (huge helping). Initially indoors we moved to a balcony seat at the back when it became free. Nice views into the valley. We liked the coffee. Prices reasonable especially after we visited St Emilion!

very nice restaurant coffee on the village square. Simple but good dishes! a lovely waitress whose job she likes and the desire to do well! an incredible view of the valley, if you eat or lunch on the balcony at the bottom of the restaurant! incredible show to see! prices are more than reasonable! We went with family who knew a lot of people here, so there was a lot of kissing going on, this is a very relaxed place, the staff are helpful and friendly. I would recommend the mussels which were steamed, a beautiful warm night we ate outside very chilled, can't beat it .

small stop in this short ephemeral restaurant just by the water...We settled on the outdoor terrace with water, the view is superb, very disappointing. very good meal for a very correct price with impeccable service.

We never got to dine here but enjoyed many cold beers outside in Summer. They make pizzas which were really good, offering thick or thin pizza bases. Best pizzas we had in all of France. So a big thumbs up here.

arrive lately 14:45, perfect and generous service in local salad. very warm welcome and very nice owners, and very pleasant terrace. Thank you for this moment
