Our band Ransak were performing at a St.Patricks day concert in Hoymille near Bergues and we had all met up at Cafe De la Poste where we were made so very welcome. The next day (Sunday) after our gig we went back to the cafe for breakfast and the food was excellent. What also pleased us was that our cd was being played as background music. Very nice people, we will return.
It was a cold monday between Christmas and the New Year, the market in the main square was just closing down.and I was in need of a light lunch somewhere warm. The Cafe de la {Poste certainly met my needs. I had a ery good croque which was served with a substantial simple but well dressed salad and a beer. Although it was very busy, the service was prompt and friendly.
On our way back to Calais from a weekend in Veurnes we wanted a light lunch and stopped at this very pretty walled village of Bergues. Found this cafe on main square with tables outside in the sun. Just what we wanted...delicious Ch'ti beer and a lovely quiche with salad. A very pleasant way to spend a Sunday lunchtime!

Its a typical small restaurant cafe in a small french town and for what it is, its very good, the food was good, the service was helpful and quick. Apart from the dated look, its in the ideal centre location looking out on the square. Good value.
Great little café on the main square. We've been there three times in the past year, August 2012 and twice this year. Always a friendly welcome, good coffee, freshly made waffles, good selection of beers. Well worth a visit.
A basic bar serving drinks both inside and on a terrace. Staff are very friendly despite not speakingor understanding much english. Not all drinks available Inc Bacardi but good for beer

Called in for a quick coffee. It's a typical French bar/cafe used by the locals so ideal if you want to avoid tourist France .
