We were there with our almost 1-year old son, our 2-year old non-castrated male dog who is as excitable as most humans with bubble wrap everywhere... well, wow, it was not easy to manage everything, but this review is about the restaurant : First and foremost, they were very accommodating as another snooty restaurant earlier shooed us away saying that babies are not allowed... They were nice, because the restaurant was even very busy with customers non-stop flowing. The truth is, we could focus so little on the food due to the circumstances that it would be best to taste it again, but from what we could pay attention to, it was quite delicious. We were happy sitting outside and service was decent (don't expect smiles though . All in all it was a very nice experience, but next time with more peace around perhaps we can provide a more accurate rating :
I had dinner here with my family. I ate the gratin de späetzlé au munster — it was very good but a bit cloying. My sister and boyfriend ate the lasagna and loved it. We shared a tarte flambé aux pommes et canelle for desert — it was good but not amazing. My father ordered the steak and loved it but it had to be replaced because it was too well done (he asked for medium rare). The waitress wasn’t very nice about the situation and got a bit grumpy. Nonetheless, it was a good experience and the food was good!
I ate lunch at this cafe while in Ribeauville in September. Although the menu says breaded pork cutlet, there was no breading on this schnitzel. The sauerkraut was fine and the wine was 4 euros for a glass. I was going to have dessert, but the flies were swarming on the outdoor patio. The staff was friendly and service was quick.
Visited a couple of times during our holiday it was in a lovely spot in town with plenty of tables in the shade. The service was really friendly and the food and wine were lovely. Our favourite dishes were probably the pork in white wine pie and the Gratin de Spaetzle au Munster.
