I was there only once, but cafe des Arcades seems to be a good choice for someone who wants to eat a good meal and drink a good coffee in the city center. over, the place itself is really nice and the stuff is really...friendly, speaking french, german and english. The food was not extraordinary but okay and reasonable as we paid 60 CHF for two. Worth visiting at least for the coffee:

I agree with many of the previous reviewers in that this is a great place to soak up the local Fribourg vibe. The cafe is located off the main square and offers ample opportunity to admire the architecture and/or just do some people watching. The...menu was quite simple, but the food was good and the service was very efficient and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!
I wanted to grab a quick dinner on a weekday. Ordered the tartelette with veggies and the tea with apple and cinnamon. The tartelette was a dry pizza dough with some veggies thrown on it and had to wait almost 30minutes for that. The tea...was a Lipton tea bag with some dry tasteless pieces of apple on the side. The staff were pretty incompetent. They didn't clean our table when we sat down. They were out of mayonnaise and have very few arrive options. The terrace was full of mostly bikers in leather. Not exactly a charming experience. We won't return.
Die Karte ist sehr vielfältig, von kleinen Imbissen bis zu leckeren Burger gibt es alles. Auch Brunch ist möglich. Noch dazu ist es total OK bezüglich dem Preis. Immer wieder gerne dort.
Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Gute Burger. Guter Wein - sehr guter Kaffee von Inflagranti. Besuchenswert.
