Best authentic Mexican food I have ever eaten. Most 'Mexican ' restaurants throw a corona or margarita in your hand and some fajitas and that 's Mexican. This place had a really good selection of Mexican beer s( not corona) the tequila list is huge...and I didn 't know what to order so I asked the waitress and she recommended a pork dish that was top notch. The platano desert they light on fire takes 15 minutes to make so make sure to order ahead if you are in a rush. We had a concert to go to and couldn 't wait.
I spent New Years with my dear friends at Covacha. The service and ambience were top notch and the food and drinks were something better than I have had on any of my trips to Mexico. I will definitely be back to try some of the things I didn’t have room for tonight. The Barbacoa and Spicy Reaper were out of this world.
One of the best places in the neighborhood imo. Lots of care goes into both food and cocktails, and it’s hard to find this kind of real Mexican food here. Service was attentive but relaxed. Portions are a nice amount for each dish. Can’t wait to go back.
I had the best dinner at Covacha last night. The food, drinks and atmosphere are authentic Mexican with an upscale twist. It is the perfect location near the Natural History Museum and is a fun break from the dreary cold weather. I highly recommend!

I had not been here in quite a while when I brought an out of town friend here for lunch recently.

There’s a lot of mediocre Mexican in Manhattan but this isn’t one of them. Amazing food, drinks, and dessert.
