On our visit it looked like a perfect place to eat. We live in France and we eat out on a regular basis, but sadly this experience didn't live up to expectations. Our waiter was excellent, saw our little dog and brought water without us asking. The menu was overloaded with salad, 16 to be precise, no fish and only 3 meat courses, one of which happened to be the Dish of the Day. My wife and daughter opted for the main dish, which was ok, but nothing special. I opted for a sirloin steak, I asked for fries, but was told they didn't do them. It's clean, the service is ok, the food is of a reasonable standard and it's good for lunch, especially if you happen to like the plat du jour. The toilets are particularly well kept. If you eat on market day (Tuesdays and Fridays I believe), the market cleaners work with machines near the restaurant from 12 noon for about an hour.
we had lunch here on a sunny afternoon. it is in a very pleasant place in place jean jaures. the service was not very slow and error with what was delivered. we had a simple order of croque monsieur and burger with...Because the croque monsieur was understated, but the burger was in order. the price seemed reasonable.
We were 'late-ish' for lunch, this can be a disaster in France, but not this time. We moved table once as they were cleaning but the service and food were brilliant - some of the best waiter service we've ever had. The food was simple but very tasty, local wine really nice. Would definitely call in for lunch again.

Petite escale gourmande pour nous dans cet endroit plutôt sympa malgré le bruit incessant de la vaisselle qu'on rangeait?? crêpes à peine tiède ce qui est dommage car elles étaient bonnes et profiteroles également.
Passed for a none alcohol beer. They charged me 5.60. I live here in Castres and that price is simply disgusting. The owner more or less told me...... so what. Never again will I step in there.

Lovely city centre cafe. Excellent for food or just a drink. Friendly, helpful staff and great for people watching, especially on market days.

great to breakfast and they make a daily special at midday; otherwise they are an ice salon friendly staff.
