We were returning from the Jungfraujoch and decided to stop at Cafe Runft because it was on the way to our hotel, and when we had looked at the menu the day before, seemed to have a good selection. Although we arrived just before 5:30, earlier than their usual dinner crowd, they were happy to serve us (unlike some places where the kitchen was closed until later).My husband and son ordered the rosti which was a large portion of hash browns, two eggs, and several slices of bacon. We walked down the whole main street in Interlaken and finally decided to eat at Café Runft. There were a couple others that we thought about but they were totally empty and we were not in the mood for Asian food so our options were somewhat limited. We shared the Roasted Chicken, Frites and Cauliflower and a bowl of Cream of Asparagus Soup. The prices were average for Interlaken and the food was pretty average. The flavor on the roasted chicken was the best part of the meal. The asparagus soup had only a few bits of pieces of actual asparagus and was bland. Decent enough food, but (like all of Switzerland) expensive. They have a lot of covered outdoor seating, so even if it's drizzling a bit you can still find a dry place to sit outside if you'd like. Service was european in pace and friendliness, but fine. The food came out quickly and was fine, but nothing remarkable. Gnocchi with tomato sauce was gnocchi with tomato sauce, and the ham and cheese omelette was basic but extra buttery (a plus for me, but an annoyance for my wife).
Wir haben hier eine kurze Kaffeepause gemacht und nicht nur der Kuchen war sehr lecker - vor allem die Portionsgröße des Espresso war tadellos. Das geht in vielen Cafés schon als Doppel-Espresse durch. - So geht es also auch!

Mit allem drum und dran! Kaffe zum Frühstück, günstige Menu`s zum Mittag, vernünftige à la Carte-Auswahl bis irgendwie um 02:00 Uhr nachts! Dazu noch eine großzügige Fumoire-Bar. Die Preise sind moderat (Ländlich).
Der Apfelstrudel war super, die Bedienung sehr freundlich! Sehr zu empfehlen für kleine Mahlzeiten.Das Ambiente lädt zu verweilen ein.Für Raucher hat es ein grosses Fumoir mit Bar
Mein Fisch war leider nicht durchgegart. Auf meine Rückmeldung erhielt ich leider keine Reaktion.... :( sehr unprofessionell. Ansonsten schöne Sonnenterrasse.
Attached to a boulangerie/pâtisserie so lots of choice. Nice salad bar and light menu available as well.
