Possibly one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. After a meeting at a hospital in Cambridge we were in search of a good lunch spot. My co-worker was playing co-pilot when his phone search provided this option. Parking was a bit tough but we lucked out after one trip around the block a found a spot directly across the street. As soon as we walked in we knew we had made the right choice. We were greeted by a friendly gentlemen in a fedora hat asking what can I do for you fella 's . It was a genuine friendly greeting that gave a true impression that he was glad we were there and that he appreciated the business. I don't normally write reviews but this cafe didn't have many and I really want people to know how great this place is. Cafe Rustica is on my favorites list. Their coffee is so much better than Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts and they're less expensive too! The sandwiches are really good, and it has such a nice vibe. The staff is so welcoming and friendly and the people who go there too are also really kind. It's small but really close-knit. They are always smiling and joking around. This is the kind of place I like to spend my mornings at. I just wish it was opened later so I can get a nice coffee in the evening, as well!

Besides just stopping by for a late afternoon snack and to rest my weary feet as I had been traveling all day -I rested in a homey cafe filled with books to browse and old post cards from travelers to read. In a mindless moment with a sack and bags to carry I left my purse there. When I returned today it was still there intact. The staff wouldn’t even consider a financial token of my appreciation. The folks at Cafe Rustica are super sweet. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on 9 grain bread and it came out super quick and was very delish. When I moved to a table that became empty where there was a power outlet (one of only two tables near outlets) the gentleman said that there was no power in them. Seeing as though Harvard is so close, you would think that they would have working power outlets at a coffee shop.

Restaurant within walking distance of Harvard University. They have a small sitting area outside in the back of the restaurant that you feel like you are in a small country setting. Food was amazing. Staff friendly. Clean and reasonable prices.

Happened across this place and I am blown away by how delicious the food is! Beautiful and quiet seating behind the building with trees all around you. The staff was also so friendly!

What a wonderful place, the owners are lovely. Don’t miss the Gazpacho, better than Spain! Sandwiches are delicious. I come here every time I am in town.

We love the people here- exceptionally friendly. Coffee is very good and sandwiches are great. Tight space but ok for a quick bite.
