If you happen to be in Camberwell, you just cannot miss this beauty... No pretence to its food, just great flavours and pure produce... it brought a freshness to the aura .. given that there are so many places out there trying extremely hard to be up there.. we enjoyed a simple meal here and were absolutely amazed, great coffee too.<br/ <br/ Serving size: Decent<br/ <br/ Decor- Wow this place is so huge and spacious, very bright and neatly arranged. As you enter the place you are welcomed by a magnificent setting, a welcoming and attentive waittress with a smile on her face : Coffee lovers!!!!!!!!!!must must must definately visit this place for their amazing coffees and coffee art. You will be amazed by different and unique designs on the coffee each day by a great barista with some droolworthy italian dishes. I personally love their Pasta range and risottos. However, there is much more to try :
Love this place! They always treat my friends well, and they never mind if we just come here for drinks or dessert. Also, a perfect place during a hot day because of the air con! Thank you for being a great venue! I appreciate that the staff remembered they had forgotten to add the cream onto my friend’s drink so immediately returned it to the kitchen. I have no complaints about this place at all!
Short Black is a renowned authentic Italian restaurant situated in the prestigious Melbourne suburb, Camberwell. The place is easily accessible public transports (tram, train) as well as plenty parking along the Burke Road and private parking spots at the back of the restaurant. My family and I went to this cafe and the staff kindly seated us at a large table and took good care of us. We mostly ordered the big breakfast which was delicious, although the poached eggs were cooked more than I prefer. Overall, this cafe has nice and tasty food and wonderful staff. I would definitely visit again.
If for nothing else, it’s worth stoping by Short Black for their coffees.Their gorgeous latte art is bound to impress, and paired with such generous portions of Italian inspired cuisine and some of the best prosciutto in Melbourne, why wouldn’t you?
Friendly staff and fast service. The main meal was very large portion and my Lamb rump stake was very tender and tasty. My husband had pork berry which was very large but he wished they cook longer to get more crispy.
Went there last night and tried the $115 for 4 people 3 courses dinner from groupon. The food are amazing and the portions are big. The staff are friendly. Definitely will go back for sure.

The staff is friendly, the food is good, and the pizza may have a bit too much prosciutto (can you believe it?). Overall, a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner.
The cappuccino and coffee at this restaurant are both excellent.
