Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my stovies. I know there are many variations of stovies, and people often debate how they should be made, but I always thought that stovies referred to a dish cooked on the stove in a big pot, with meat and potatoes thrown together or layered, possibly with onions and gravy or stock. What I received, however, was nothing like what I expected—more akin to mince and tatties. It consisted of chunks of boiled new potatoes, minced meat, bits of sausage, and a small amount of "proper" meat, topped with a poached egg. I normally got o Cafe Source quite a lot however it is always the one located in St Andrew's square in the merchant city and have not but praises to sing for them. Was quite disappointed in this sister restaurant however due to below reasons. Location VERY poor, it's party of a Rugby club which straight away deters from the first class look and feel experienced at the St Andrews Square restaurant. Taxi drivers both private hire and TOA did not know where the place was and it was very difficult to locate on Sat Nav also We asked for very slight alterations to menu such as mash instead of Risotto with the beef to first were told unsure if this could be made but then after checking with the man...

Upon looking at the menu, it seemed quite similar to my last visit, but the food we were served was of much higher quality than I remembered. I had a beautiful pan-fried cod wrapped in bacon, served on a bed of potatoes and cherry tomatoes, while my husband enjoyed a chicken Caesar salad. We also ordered starters and shared an incredible Orkney fudge cheesecake with berry coulis for dessert. The service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable at £15 for a three-course meal on the pre-theatre menu. The quality was exactly what we were hoping for. Cafe Source Too truly saved our evening when it seemed like all was lost, and we ended up having a fantastic night out!

Significantly improved since my initial visits when it first opened. I dined with my grandmother one rainy June evening for an early dinner. We were well taken care of with tea and coffee as we waited for dinner service to begin at 5 PM. As is typical at Cafe Source, the Cullen Skink was delicious! My grandmother chose the daily special, which was Sea Bass, while I couldn't resist the crispy brisket salad with house slaw. It was fantastic! Yet again the same comments. Very friendly and very child friendly, but a slow service. I had beef daube again! It was nicer than last time, more like the first time I came here. The beef was beautifully soft and tasty, and had the right mix of veg to compliment it. I had a treacle tart to finish, and not being a dessert man and not having had treacle tart before I don't think I can only say it was pretty damn tasty.

We held a memorial gathering at this restaurant, and it was an excellent choice. The location is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff was very attentive. Jacqui greeted us warmly and provided wonderful service, accommodating all of our needs without any fuss. I highly recommend this place for similar events, as they were very sensitive to our requirements.

I will keep this brief as I am twice biased. Cafe Source at St. Andrews in the Square did the catering for my wedding and I worked at Hillhead Sports Club before the refurb so this was a double reminisce for me. The food and wine were both delicious. I won't go into further detail, other than it was really good. I will remember that meal for a while.

This is a fantastic restaurant! The menu offers a wide variety of options, and the food is freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The staff is incredibly helpful, and they go out of their way to ensure a great experience. I will definitely be returning! Reserva una mesa ahora

A total pure disappointment have not visited the place for 6 months or so the place was filthy very dirty especially floor long ginger hair durst dust it really put me off : No no no when come to food hygiene is no option disgusting

The menu offered a great selection. I enjoyed a generous portion of fish and chips. The staff were attentive and friendly.
