Cafe Zupas serves up delicious, freshly made meals that never disappoint. We’ve been using their online ordering system, and every order has been spot on. The website is easy to navigate and works smoothly, which is a nice change from other places we’ve tried. I especially appreciate how quick and easy it is to pick up our food; you just walk in and head to the back wall. I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered a half-sized "Create Your Own" salad, but it didn't live up to my expectations. At $9, the portion felt insufficient, and the staff were quite stingy with the toppings, even for the cheaper vegetable options. The quinoa was hard and undercooked, and overall, the salad lacked flavor. While I appreciate that this is a health-focused, fast-casual establishment, I would much rather go to Chipotle or Qdoba for a salad or bowl, where I can get more food and better flavors for the same price as Café Zupas.
The service was outstanding—prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. I noticed a sign at the ordering counter mentioning that tables would be cleared for us, but in reality, the tables were not very clean or well-maintained. The area for returning trays was messy, and the dining room could have used some organization. I realize they may be dealing with staffing shortages similar to many other establishments right now. Nevertheless, I would certainly come back as often as I can!
I was quite disappointed with the vegetarian sandwich. Vegetarians should be wary, as the knife used to cut my sandwich had come into contact with meat, which raises concerns about cross-contamination. The soups were served at a lukewarm temperature, and the French baguette was excessively chewy. To make matters worse, their homemade drinks were also warm. I used to really love ordering from Zupas, particularly at the Maple Grove location. However, I've noticed a noticeable decline in the quality of service lately. During my last three visits, I've encountered order mix-ups and salads that were barely topped. This isn’t just a one-time problem; it appears to be an ongoing issue. I hope they can address these concerns soon.
I've never had to inspect a sandwich to see if any meat was missing before, but here I am. My pastrami melt had just one slice of pastrami—yikes! The portions were extremely small; I’d suggest keeping the chocolate strawberry but adding more substance to the sandwich. The flavors were decent, or I would have rated it just one star. I won't be returning.
We have been fans of this restaurant for years, but unfortunately, the quality of the food has really declined lately. During our last two visits, the chicken tenders were unappetizing and overcooked. On our most recent visit, one of the strawberries was entirely white, and there was a black curly hair in one of my son's veggie cups. Yikes!
The food here is top-notch and will definitely whet your appetite. I came specifically for the soups but was pleasantly surprised by the delicious sandwiches and salads as well. The complimentary chocolate-covered strawberry that comes with the meal is a lovely bonus. On a nice day, the patio seating is simply gorgeous.

I visited for lunch for the first time on Saturday, and it was fantastic! The line moved quickly, and my salad was delicious. I especially loved the bread, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a strawberry included! The food was truly outstanding. I’ll definitely come back when I'm in the area again.
