It's a busy Saturday morning with a post-swimming lesson hungry 5 year old. We order at the counter and of course expect to wait as the cafe is packed. Our drinks arrive quickly so we are happy to have those while we wait for the food. However the 5 year old is starving and almost in tears, so I asked one of the waitstaff, who were all busily delivering orders and clearing tables for the non-stop stream of diners,if he could find out where we were in the queue. We hoped he'd come back and tell us we were not far off in the hope of cheering up the hungry child or maybe going to get something that could be delivered over the counter immediately.He came to tell us it would be anther 10 minutes...
I'm not sure how this place has good reviews. The food may be good, I've only tried a drink, but my experience wasn't great. Firstly it took 20 minutes for my iced mocha to arrive. They apologised for that which is nice. They said they couldn't find me which is a bit strange as I was sitting about 5 metres from the cash register with my order number clearly displayed. Oh well, once it arrived I tucked in. It was quite disappointing as it was mostly ice. The liquid was fairly tasteless, seemed to be chocolate with no coffee. Perhaps they really messed up the order and it wasn't a mocha?? For $6.50 I ended up with a cup of mostly ice, some bland tasting chocolate milk with a little ice cream o...
I've visited this cafe a handful of times since arriving in Canberra in late 2014; and I'm pleased to announce that they've always lived up to brunch expectations. They produce consistently above average food and beverages (and I must stress that's not to be misconstrued with consistently exceptional - it is consistently above average). I feel the prices are reasonable, and an apt reflection of the quality of the food and location. The restaurant appears to be clean and comfortable, the meals come out of the kitchen quickly, and the long of the short is - I would return. That's really all you need to know - I would return.
We ordered a children's meal waffle with ice cream but without maple syrup, opting for chocolate instead. They charged an extra $1 for the chocolate and gave us a waffle slathered in Nutella instead of the requested toppings. We were disappointed that they did not mention the nuts in Nutella before we ordered. The waffles tasted like generic supermarket waffles – overly sweet and lacking in flavor. We suspect that the restaurant simply reheats pre-made supermarket food and charges a premium for it. We will not be returning, and even our 8-year-old agreed that it was not worth a second visit.

I ordered eggs for my wife on white bread, but unfortunately no white bread. Ordered the big breakfast and asked for cooked eggs and said I had only fried. When the big breakfast showed up, it had a piece of bread instead of... one piece, the eggs were broken flat and so overcooked it was not funny, unbeatable. The sausage was burned and the mushrooms were dreadfully cooked. One of the eggs and the toast could not be eaten. As a cook, I would have been embarrassed to give up those eggs. I went to the restaurant with another couple for lunch. Unfortunately, they forgot one of our coffees and seemed upset that we only ordered three dishes instead of four. After a 45-minute wait, our food finally arrived. However, it was not served with sourdough as expected, but with muffin bread. I would not recommend this place if you are really hungry, as your appetite will be gone by the time the food arrives.
Great hot chocolate (which was all I had). It was dark and delicious, and didn't taste like it was made on powder (I didn't ask). Too many hot chocolates are unpleasantly sweet and disappointing. This was great. The food surrounding new looked incredible, but that's for another time.
When I visited the cafe, it was open but had a lot of empty tables. However, for reasons unknown, they refused to let me dine in and have my breakfast there. They did not provide an explanation for this. I have no plans to return to this establishment in the future.

This cafe has good food both dine in or take away as well as great coffee the staff are always firendy and helpful would recommend to anyone who is looking for good food or coffee in Gungahlin
Excellent place for hot chocolate and mocha. There are also a great choice of sweet treats. Staff very friendly.
