Stopped in today to get cakes for a birthday treat. Didn't sit in, got the cakes to go. Purchased 2 x chocolate fudge cake, 1 x lemon poppyseed and 1 x Victoria sponge. It was £14 in total. The cakes were very generous slices and very well made. They were delicious and not overly sweet. The cakes could be boxed together or individually boxed which was a nice touch. The Cake Pod has a separate dining area next to the small farm shop which is decorated tastefully. They do serve other food such as jacket potatos which I would like to go back and try. We were out and about in St. Helens and Widnes looking for a house when we came across the cake pod sign on our way back. We decided to give it a try. The lady behind the counter was very nice and the local customers already in the cafe kindly offered to swap tables with us so we could all sit down. The place was quite busy, so we had to wait a little for service, but the food was really good and the hot chocolate with marshmallows was excellent. There were lots of people coming in and out for cake, and it was clear that there were regular customers. This speaks volumes about the place. It's definitely worth a visit if you happen to be passing by.
what a lovely place .tucked away def a hidden gem. went for brunch and ordered bacon and egg on toast. wow went it arrived beautiful crispy bacon [lots of it] and 3 poached eggs .was so glad I asked for just one toast . they also do delicious home made cakes to eat in or take away. lots of choice
Despite the challenging times we've all been facing, it is truly wonderful to be able to indulge in the delicious coffee and cake at Cake Pod. The future looks promising, so savor every moment and enjoy the experience. It's fantastic.

Top marks for a great little GEM. Easy parking, within walking distance on a nice day, great staff, clean tidy, accept contactless payments and —— great foods coffees and cakes it a MUST to pop in here. Well done all. All positive.

Never once had a poor meal cake or coffee to well done. Totally recommend this venue yet again, easy parking and great staff you must try it!
Visited here last week with my daughter, mum and my dog. Lovely place, friendly staff and gorgeous food. Would definitely visit again.

We had a fantastic experience with our Saturday takeout from The Cake Pod. We absolutely loved their afternoon teas and cream teas!
What a great place! Food is delicious and the customer service is outstanding. My children adore coming here!
