Unfriendly Host Ruins Dinner! My recent visit to California Pizza Kitchen in Lake Grove, NY left me quite disappointed. As a parent of three children, including an infant, my family and I were excited to enjoy a meal together. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the lack of accommodation and poor customer service provided by the hostess. Upon arrival, we politely requested a booth with a high chair, as we wanted a comfortable and spacious seating arrangement for our family. My girlfriend and I came here for a quick bite. There was no hostess, so we sat ourselves at the bar. We soon realized that there was one person doing the work of 5 people. He was our waiter, bartender, food runner, host and working service bar. I give him a lot of credit because he was running the entire time. His name was Edgar and he was awesome for the 2 minutes we were able to talk to him. All of this was happening while the manager was walking around, just taking up space. PLEASE READ!!! We come here for dinner, first, it takes 40~50min for the pizza and the pasta. Then, the pasta look VERY different from the picture on the menu, I don't see any liquid( sauce)on the picture, then we received a pasta that is very liquidity(a lot creamy sause)we ask the manager and she say that's how they cook it. And she gives a attitude towards we asking why it looks different from the menu. DON'T COME TO THIS STORE!! Maybe choose the cheesecake factory next door!!

We ordered chicken dumplings as apps and we didn't get them until after we paid the check. We each got pizza (BBQ chicken and sweet chili tai chicken). It took a while for the pizzas to get to the table. My sister requested extra toppings and it was not on the pizza. I was not impressed. Reserva una mesa ahora

The service was really good and the price point is affordable. I ordered a bunch of different items such as pasta bbq pizza, buffalo cauliflower and street corn. Everything came out fresh. Our server was very attentive.

With so many good pizza places around I wasn't expecting much from a chain restaurant but the pizza and food here is very good. Service was quite slow because they only had two waiters working though.

The waiters take a while to bring the food and when it arrives it is not what you asked for, the truth is, the service is very bad.
