The owners have kept to the historic feel of the location, but have gone above and beyond on the incredible food offerings and the diverse hiring of the wonderful staff. I had lunch at this restaurant today for the first time, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! We started with the muffin and biscuit basket, along with the three dip sampler. The jalapeño corn muffins were absolutely amazing! I also really enjoyed the smoked mullet fish spread. For our main course, we shared the ribs with the coffee onion barbecue sauce—oh my goodness, they were so tender they practically fell off the bone, and the sauce was bursting with flavor and originality; I was smitten! Was disappointed the only option for Sunday Brunch was the $28 buffet. I prefer fresh cooked meals and not to overindulge too much. However, the buffet food was tasty for what it was. The service was poor with our server doing double duty as the bartender and having tables. Drinks were very slow to get to us and we had to put used buffet plates on an empty table to make room for our second trip. There was lots of other staff there that could’ve helped. Sad to see the restaurant was practically empty. I think it’s a good concept but execution is poor.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough! I went to see my friend Eddie Garrido perform, and the food was just an added bonus. However, as soon as I looked at the menu, my mouth started to water. I ordered the chicken pot pie as an appetizer, and it was, without a doubt, the best pot pie I've ever tasted. It was also the perfect size for sharing with someone. I had the fried chicken, while my companion ordered the meatloaf, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back to try their brunch!

After we had to wait about 10 minutes or so that the waitress comes to our table(2nd visit and 2nd time this happened), we had a very good meal. the waitress was very friendly and helpful, so we initially overlooked that she was ignored for the second time. hopefully the third time will be the charm as we will give him another chance!
We were surprised how much we enjoyed our dinner. Portions were good size, very tasty, reasonably priced and great service. If you go ask for a booth. Their table chairs are awful. Great happy hour deals.
