If you're in Calverton or even nearby, you must visit Fishable. They offer both takeout and dine-in options. The staff is incredible, and the food is freshly cooked, delicious, and served piping hot. There's a large selection of cod, squid, cakes, and all the classic chip shop favorites, as well as kebabs. I tried the cod and chips with mushy peas (from the kids' menu, haha), and it was wonderfully crispy with no greasiness at all. I highly recommend it! The restaurant and dining area are immaculate, making it a lovely place to enjoy your meal.

Excellent food friendly staff! We didn't realise it had changed hands in December and had stopped going previously due to the poor attitude of the previous people, but since trying it after we found out about the change we can honestly say that we have consistently had the best fish chips kebabs! that we have had for a long time! Well done to the new owners and staff keep up the good work! Simon.

A couple of months ago, while returning home from our COVID vaccinations in Mansfield, we decided to stop at Calverton Fish Bar for a late supper. Since then, it has become our go-to fish and chip shop. The staff is friendly, and they run a very efficient operation, consistently serving delicious food. We happily give it a well-deserved 5-star rating!

I decided to try the lunch special, which included fish and chips, and I took it to go for dinner. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the chips were crispy and perfectly seasoned. Lovely friendly service. I had the haddock and chips which was really well cooked and tasted great. Very good value too. We are in and as the tables are to the side of the counter you can watch people come go and the food being cooked so nice atmosphere.
