Canali's is just a great, well established neighborhood Italian place. It's everything you'd expect from a place that's been around for 75 years. Fantastic red sauce, fantastic homemade pastas, fantastic shrimp cocktail, etc. I've always loved this place. I do have one small issue though. Frozen and thawed desserts. The cheesecake was meh. The tiramisu wasn't anyone special. Maybe it's too much to ask for in 2023, but can were please have homemade desserts at our local hometown family owned Italian restaurant? Please? After a great comfort food meal, I'm just expecting more than limp cheesecake with still frozen strawberries out of a plastic tub.

A tried n true restaurant. Keep going back just love their sauce. Only disappointment was that they were out of 2 of their appetizers (no clams, no chicken livers) that is what I went for we were there early. Hoping for next time.
