Interesting - if we didn't have the Entertainment Book, we probably would never have tried this restaurant. From the street it looks quite bleak. But what a wonderful surprise! The menu offers a wide range of "tasting"" dishes, and so I tried 3 offerings: the cheese arancini, the calamari and the pork & duck rillettes. All were delicious and beautifully balanced. The calamari had been sliced wafer thin and flash fried, so were perfectly tender. The arancini were light and crispy. My partner ordered a salami pizza, which had a lovely crisp crust and robust flavours. Another welcome feature of this place is offering wine by the carafe - what a good idea. We will be back!

Unfortunately we chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner. We ordered our meal, there were no toddler size drinks available, only adult serves. Arrogant service. We ordered our meal, our two well behaved children a pizza. All the adult meals came out first with pasta for the kids. Pasta went back to the kitchen and then we sat for nearly twenty minutes with our meals getting cold whilst the pizza was cooked. When it came the kids had picked over most of our meals. The food was ok, just above average Italian fare, whitebait was oily and not crunchy, chewy squid in the marinara. My Italian companion was not impressed! Disappointing night.

Capital was busy on the freezing cold Saturday we dined with them. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food though, was just a bit blah. Calamari fritti was quite floury and oily and stringy, white bait a bit lack lustre and oily. Quail over cooked, pork belly succulent but lacking flavour. The pasta dishes at our accompanying tables looked and smelt amazing, and were much quicker - several being served before us, even though they order quite a bit after us.Maybe we got the antipasti on a bad night, but I won't be rushing back. I wouldn't advise against eating here, the food was ok - but I wouldn't recommend it either.

Meeting with friends is always good, especially in a place like this. Wine selection broad with some excellent wines available. We started our dinner with a selection of dips and some beautiful spiced olives. Both were excellent but the lemon bean dip was the best. Onto mains and I chose chicken skewers with a salad of Beetroot, crisp pancetta, marinated feta, pistachios and a blood orange dressing. All of the others at the table thoroughly enjoyed their choices which included steak, seared tuna and a pasta marinara. Great night out. Reserva una mesa ahora

The pizzas and pasta are terrific but the best lunch is a selection of the wonderful Amazing Slow cooked pork belly, truffle and asparagus frittata and the exceptional Calamari fritti with aioli & pink onion. Great wine, especially the Soave and Barbera (both available in 500ml carafe). Good knowledgable casual service and wonderful food

This is our 3rd visit and each time have been happy. The food is really good. Always great service. Even to the point of the young waitress that had only been there for a week went to there other business to get some ice cream for my son, as it was his birthday the next day. Small gestures go along way. Will keep returning ... thanks

For an entree (garlic bread) and two pasta dishes (mushroom gnocchi and fettuccine carbonara) we paid just over $70. Although the food was tasty the serves were quite small for what we expected for the price. A nice atmosphere and service was good however.

The best restaurant in Hobart!! The food was exquisite and we discovered a beautiful Italian wine. The staff was so friendly and made sure all dish preferences were catered for. Everything was just perfect. I highly recommend!!!! Reserva una mesa ahora

First time I've been here, won't be the last. Food was magnificent. Highly recommend. Prices good, very clean well laid out interior with modern design. Staff friendly. But the food, yum yum. 10 out of 10.
