Capriccio Osteria and Bar

I dined here on a Thursday night as part of an organised event (discounted meal). We were fortunate to try a spread of the menu and honestly I couldn't fault any of the dishes we were served. We had the following dishes:<br/ 1. Foccacia served warm with herbs and lightly salted. Works well to mop up the extra goat's curd from dish 2. <br/ 2. Beetroot e vodka just yum! Thinly sliced ocean trout full of flavour with plenty of roe and goat's curd. <br/ 3. Wood fired chicken wings good flavour and I liked the punch of the sauce and pickles<br/ 4. Squid ink spaghetti with blue swimmer crab one of my favourites. Perfectly cooked handmade pasta with plenty of crab. <br/ 5. Spinach and ricotta ravio...

I was invited to celebrate a friend's birthday at Capriccio Osteria and ended up carpooling with friends to get there. It was my first time in Leichhardt, and I found the long food strip full of cafes and restaurants interesting (I made a mental note to visit again during the daytime). After struggling to find street parking, we eventually parked a few blocks away and walked back to the restaurant. Capriccio Osteria is one of the many popular restaurants on the main food strip, offering a variety of interesting Italian fusion dishes. Overall, I would give it a rating of 3.5.

I really enjoyed the asparagus dish with a tasty puree and flavorful soft cheese. The Caprese salad was also fresh and delicious. The ravioli was good, but I thought the other pasta dishes looked more appealing. I was dining with a vegetarian, so we had limited options for pasta. Overall, I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

Most people are of the opinion once you have been to Italy you have had the best Italian though what happens when you bring the Italian to Australia? End result; some really great food. The food as always was the ultimate comfort food and perfect on flavour. I just thoroughly enjoyed dish after dish and cannot wait to return. Reserva una mesa ahora

Perfect for large groups! The fixed menu is delectable and the servings are ample. The servers were exceptionally friendly and the ambiance is lively, so we left feeling very pleased.

Came for dinner for two but also had our toddler. Welcoming, kind and courteous hosts and service. We started with the beef carpaccio and arancini (sp?).

Has become my favourite Italian restaurant in Sydney! The pastas we ordered still make me drool thinking about it. Great flavour and texture!

Recommended delish, sophisticated, fine scrumptious dishes. New pasta with prawns is my favourite atm. Thank you, Micaella
