Carluccio's Coal Fired Pizza

My husband is a native Italian and I grew up in an Italian home. We definitely know good Italian food. Carluccio’s Coal Fired Pizza and Restaurant was beyond five stars. This restaurant belongs in Italy. The pizza beats any pizzeria including Wooster Street in New Haven CT. The pasta, crispy zucchini, lamb chops, etc. was so delicious. They are gluten free friendly. Joe was our server. He couldn’t do enough for us. We had an opportunity to meet the owners. They are truly the nicest people you want to meet. I felt like I was back in Italy. You must visit this restaurant if you want an exquisite Italian meal.

The dining room is way too small to dine comfortably and have a conversation with just your table. Not enjoyable to have strangers elbows poking you while trying to enjoy your food. We chose take out a.few times ..the coal fired wings with lemon and rosemary were good the first time... second time the marinade was not distributed evenly....too much on some....none on the others. Pizza crust was completely black on one side. I love coal fired pizza but this was incinerated. Recipe concepts seem authentic, dining room clean, but no consistency in food preparation.

Updated June 13, 2023 Great eats! This place has it from pizza with many toppings to eggplant to antipasto to signature dishes like pasta with cannelloni beans and broccoli rabe. Italian desserts you would expect. Salads too. It all happens in a small ish, over the counter regular pizza joint type place (though someone will serve you at a table). It's really good and NOT over priced. Quite busy at times. Try it, you'll love it.

Not impressed. Very small inside. I did not feel the pizza was fully cooked little pricey for the accomodations tables. Very close together sat att counter not very comfortable. Music was very loud not dinner type music.. my opinion Reserva una mesa ahora

Love the food here but the parking and atmosphere are chaotic. The parking lot is small and awkward. The inside is similar with how narrow the dining space is and it’s always super packed.

5 stars for every single pizza they sell. 5 stars for everything! Not only is the food the best but so is the customer care. They go above and beyond

Been here a few times, and overall the food is good. Pizza and pasta are very good. Might avoid cheesesteaks. Reserva una mesa ahora

The homemade Italian cuisine is always top-notch. So is the dessert. Get there early for a seat.
