I was at your establishment this past Tuesday, August 23. I purchased several cakes to share with the nurses at the NICU at MUSC where my granddaughter was a patient. The waitress was very helpful and encouraged me to include the carrot cake in my order. I did purchase it and it was on my receipt (with a very generous tip) however it was not in my bag when I unpacked it. I believe it was an honest mistake, my issue is that when I tried to call to let them know I discovered that they do not answer their phone...ever!!! I called many many times Tuesday afternoon, evening and Wednesday morning! The answering machine states that they are busy and do not listen to their voicemails. It directed me...

Please organize your thoughts from least to most favorable to provide an accurate assessment. The experience was noisy, overhyped, overpriced, and ultimately disappointing. The cakes we tried were overly sweet and lacked refinement, far from the delightful desserts we’ve enjoyed at other restaurants in the city. The red velvet cake was bland, and the icing was lacking substance, resembling anything but a lovely smooth cream cheese frosting. Instead, it was a sugary mess that overwhelmed the entire cake. At $15 for a cake that had more frosting than actual cake, this was our first major letdown in Charleston!

At 8:40 PM on a Friday night, the line was long, but it was definitely worth the wait. We shared a few desserts, and I tried the waffle filled with pistachio ice cream. I really loved the dessert—the ice cream was fantastic! However, the waffle could have been a bit crispier. Next time, I think I’ll try something different, maybe a milkshake! We were fortunate enough to snag a table. This place is the perfect spot for dessert!

This is a fantastic place to visit, especially after a show! The cake we had was quite tasty, and my wide, flavorful mixed coffee drink was absolutely delicious! The cappuccino was also enjoyable. There's a wide variety of options available, and they're open late. The location on King Street is excellent!
